A distant signal bleeped & flashed on the Moonman’s scanner. Was it a distress call or a trap laid by a marauding band of pirates? Curiosity outweighed the possible dangers & Moonman rolled the ship and made for the source of intrigue.
Nearing the site he noticed a small archaic escape pod, drifting aimlessly in the abyss.
Thinking for certain this was an ambush, Moonman armed his primaries & main scanner as he made a sweeping pass.
Content that there was no subterfuge afoot he drew the pod in to the hold with the tractor beam, jumped from the cockpit and cautiously made his way to the newly found craft.
Wiping away the space dust from the small porthole window, Moonman stumbled back in surprise, falling against the hull side & trying to process what he saw. Gathering his thoughts Moonman peered once more into the softly lit interior of the escape pod. Inside in a suspended animation, was a familiar being from his past.
Looking at the still form he noticed a crisp jumpsuit with a small embroidered patch that read “ARKTYPE” ….
